Painful Boil Remedy
| January 17, 2011 | 5:28 am | Health | 2 Comments

This is the first time that I have a boil; at first I thought that it is only insect bite such as mosquito or ant bite.  I apply petroleum jelly but there is no improvement that’s why I google it and I found it that it is like a boil so I can’t believe it at first.  I observed for the following days, it is very painful, sore and swelling so I decided to take mefenamic acid for anti inflammatory purposes and as a pain reliever.  It is started as reddened tender area at my buttocks and as day passes it becomes firm and hard. I know that mefenamic acid is not a solution for this boil, I just take it once since it is not recommended.

I apply hot compresses by soaking cotton with hot water and apply it in the area of the boil. I noticed that there is small pus coming out of the boil, according to my husband these pus are the head of the boil, it should come out so that it can be healed. I really hate this boil aside from being painful, it is very embarrassing since I was not be able to sit properly and I have to change bandage every now and then.
Thanks to my husband’s cousin Daisy who recommended to take antibiotic, Cloxacilline I don’t need to wait to come out the boil’s head completely because after three days of taking cloxacilline and hot compresses, the boil heals in his own and no head anymore.

Refrain: Alleluia! (3x)

Praise God in His holy dwelling;
Praise Him on His mighty throne.
Praise Him for His wonderful deeds;
Praise Him for His sov’reign majesty!

Praise Him with the blast of trumpet.
Praise Him now with lyre and harp.
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with the sound of string and reed.

Praise Him with resounding cymbals;
With cymbals that crash, give praise.
O let everything that has breath,
Let all living creatures praise the Lord!

Praise God, the Almighty Father!
Praise Christ, His beloved Son!
Give praise to the Spirit of love!
Forever the Triune God be praised!

| January 3, 2011 | 7:16 am | Praise and Worship Songs | No comments

Refrain:
Taste and see how good our God can be
O, taste and see how good our God can be

I will bless the Lord at all times.
My mouth will proclaim His praise.
My soul makes it boast in the Lord our God,
Let the humble hear and be glad

Come glorify the Lord with me,
Together let us praise His name
Look to Him and grow bright in His radiant light;
And your face will never be ashamed

The eyes of the Lord are on the just;
And His ears toward all their cries.
The Lord is near to the broken heart;
And the crushed in Spirit, He saves.

O, taste and see the Lord is good;
And happy are all who trust in Him.
O fear the Lord you His holy ones,
Trust in Him and lack no good thing.

Chorus:
O God You are my God
And I will seek thee earnestly! (2x)

My soul thirst for thee.  My flesh yearns for thee
In a dry and weary land where there’s no water
Thus I have beheld thee in the sanctuary
To see thy power and thy glory

So I will blest thee as long as I live
I will lift up my hands in thy name
So I will bless thee as long as I live
And in the shadow of thy wings, I sing for joy

Born into a Battle
| December 29, 2010 | 12:25 pm | Praise and Worship Songs | No comments

Born into a battle, a warfare to know
Beyond the visible we see it, the army, the field and the foe
God alone in the garden, where it began long ago
Where the enemy who rose up, deceived the man God made
Where God stated His intention to crush that serpent’s head

Refrain
For the kingdom of this world, it shall become
The kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ
And He shall reign forever and evermore

Entered into victory, what wisdom this plan
God’s Son born of a woman, Messiah an ord’nary man
Satan said, “It seems so easy,”  As nails through flesh and blood ran
“Sure this foolishness can’t threaten my reign of death and sin”
But the third day Jesus rose up and triumped over him

Toward the final conflict, God’s Word our command
We move inevitably onward, God’s weapons held in our hands
In Him. We shall do more than conquer, before our Lord who can stand
Man shall glorify his maker, God shall be enjoyed
And that one called the deceiver, his works shall be destroyed

We are the Servants of the Lord
| December 22, 2010 | 10:08 pm | Praise and Worship Songs | No comments

Refrain:
We are servants of the Lord, He is our master, Jesus Christ
All our joy in You our God;
Lo, we have come to do Your will.

Sacrifices You don’t desire, but a people who will obey You.
To do Your will is our delight,
O, God write Your law upon our hearts.

Within the great congregation, we will tell of Your deliv’ance,
Never will we restrain our lips
From speaking of Your steadfast love and kindness

May all who seek You rejoice in You, all who love Your salvation;
Great are You O, Lord our God,
Your blessing is on all who trust in You.

O may we give our lives to You, to know You in Your goodness.
And though we are not worthy,
O Master You have called us to be Yours

(End: You are our Master, Lord Jesus Christ)

All of your People
| December 22, 2010 | 12:57 am | Praise and Worship Songs | No comments

Who is like a son of man enthroned,
His eyes like burning flame, and His face a shining sun?
Who with a word did make the world, upholding all creation,
With a voice like the roar of the sea?

Refrain:
All of Your  people say, “We love You”
All of Your people say, “Hosanna!”
With lifted hearts and voices praising, raising songs of love to You, just to You

(End: Just to You, just to You)

Like a diamond, on the throne He’s praised.
The elders and the saints, singing night and day,
“Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord,
The Almighty He who was, He who is and is to come.”
(Refrain)

Every nation, race and tribe are there.
Dressed in white, they stand, holding palms in their hands.
Vict’ry to our God, who sits enthroned,
And vict’ry to the Lamb, and all signing cry, “Amen!”
(Refrain)

Oil of Gladness
| December 21, 2010 | 4:30 am | Praise and Worship Songs | No comments

Refrain:

You have given me the oil of gladness
The garment of praise instead of mourning.
A shining crown instead of ashes
And the glory in the place of despair.
(repeat)

I delight greatly in You.
My soul rejoices and sings.
For You took my empty life.
And filled it with every good thing.
(repeat)

When my life was without a purpose,
You gave me a reason to live
Now my heart is full of thanksgiving
For all the riches you gave.
(repeat)

Points on How to Improve your Life
| December 6, 2010 | 12:23 pm | Personal | No comments

I receive an email from my friend and it is very inspiring that’s why I would like to share it with others.  The following are from the book of Dr. Randy Pausch.  He died of pancreatic cancer in 2008 and wrote a book entitled “ The last lecture”.

Personality:
1. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don’t have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don’t over do; keep your limits
4. Don’t take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner of his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:
15. Call your family often
16. Each day give something good to others
17. Forgive everyone for everything
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day
20. What other people think of you is none of your business
21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD you will always be happy. So, be happy.

While you practice all of the above, share this knowledge with the people you love, people you school with,
people you play with, people you work with and people you live with.
Not only will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you.
